The National Ligament Registry (NLR) was set up in 2018 by a group of core surgeons, with an aim to help improve the management and outcome of knee ligament reconstructive surgery. It was initiated in association with BASK, BOSTAA and the BOA and is run by a Steering Group.

The NLR has been successfully gathering patient data since 2013, after it was launched at BASK. There are currently:
